Maybe I'll celebrate by doing going to the gym with the guys and see how some cardio goes after my 3 month hiatus while they hit the weights. Probably back to some slightly slower but full time work this week which should go alot better since my arm has more movement then last week whe I tried to work my bandsaw some and pin and sew some fur (I really felt like I was going to lose a finger on the bandsaw as I wasn't feeling precision control in my gimp arm lol) but it's a bit better this week not stuck with like 3 inches of elbow joint motion :P . Stitches came out yesterday. Now I just have some butterfly stitches and a sore arm inside still that I'm trying to get my range of motion back in it. Doc said prob 3 more weeks for the bone to be nice and strong but the chunk of metal in it now keeps it pretty solid feeling ;) Lots of work for mff yadda yadda yadda. Lacy will try to keep customers as best updated as she can. Right now there is only about 2-3 inches I can move my arm so everything is rather stiff. I know I'll get it to extend fully well before I'm ever able to lift my palm to my shoulder. It really hurts alot to move it much of anywhere so it will be slow going. I'm pretty sure things will heal now though just fine.

Boy those flew by fast even as depressing as they where. I really can't stand being/needing to stay so immobile but there isn't much I can do with my dominant arm still broken. The original 5-6 weeks is looking to be more of a 8-10. We went in today to see how the arm was looking and decide upon surgery or not and the Dr said that its showing signs of callousing which starts before you can even see it on the xray, and since we could see some and have made it this far he said we should give it a few more weeks and see where it's heading. It's offset about 20 degrees but i guess up to 30 is perfectly acceptable it's just distal humeral fractures are very tough to heal in adults. I tightened up my brace just a little more today and I'm going to try and be as innactive as possible for myself over the next 2 weeks so hopefully we can see good progress on the next set of xrays. I'm dying to get back to work and after alot of thinking get back in the air. So yeah here it is at 5 weeks blahhhhhhh !!!! I hate worrying about it so much but it's gotta heal.

Usually id prefer to try and stay as chipper as possible in such times but I'm just feeling shitty :/ I do have basic insurance and was called by the local place that I have an appt. at just so they could tell me how much it sucks. Since they arent preferred by my IP (no one around here is) its something like a scale of 30 then 40 then yadda yadda isnt covered in full till i reach the $9000 cap. Fuck me :/ Been scoping out things I can sell off such as my glider, games, some rc stuff i still have left. Lacy said she will sell her puppy boomer to help things along but it's still just putting a dent in things :( I really thought i was smarter trying to keep myself insured out of pocket and was keeping my priorities decently strait but it just never seems to be enough. I just feel so stupid all around atm.
The other thing that has me down is how uncertain I am about whether or not this is healing properly. No one actually touched my arm after the xrays besides to put it in this sling. I keep fearing its not set right and will have to be broken and set again or wonder how they seemed so possitive it needed surgery to being so vague. Im afraid that maybe getting a 2nd opinion may just be wasting away money so im unsure what to do about that. I just wish i was told a little bit more about the situation is all and wish I where a bit better prepared for this financially. I just want things to get better as quickly as possible so I can kick some ass working on suits. I feel so worthless when I am pretty much by all means worthless for the next 5-6 weeks when i comes to work. I just cant stop worrying about stuff :/
On a possitive note I do wanna thank people for their well wishes. And thank lacy and arito for their extra help around the house and esp with work.

Well I can tell you for certain today that I am not ambidexterous at all :( Yesterday afternoon I decided to take a little extended lunch out at the airport and do a bit of flying. Had a probably my longest soaring flight so far (about an hour) and also made my biggest learning mistake so far. Flared harder a little bit to early and popped up about and lets just say I didnt come down near as perfect as I usually do. Ended up with the glider nosed over laying in the grass telling myself Im an idiot while laying still knowing something was broken (ive broken both ankles so its not a foreign feeling anymore lol), after about a minute I tried moving things and immediatly felt the humorous bone crunching and could see my arm laying in what would look like a hyper extended position with the skin and muscle on my arm poking out a bit . I straitened it out with my good hand took off my helmet and waited for some help to arrive. Soon it did and the guys asked if i wanted a ambulance but i knew they wouldnt do anything different then we would besides destroying my harness cutting me out of it so we took our time trying to get me out of it without further aggrivating the injury set the glider up off the runway and headed for the hospital . As we got the xrays i was told surgery was needed etc etc but in the end they decided to see how its healing in about a week in the sling.

All i can say is it realllly sucks losing the use of your prefered arm. i though at first it wouldn't be to bad but now it just feels weird because sometimes ill try to move my hand out and it feel like i am but its just the upper part of the humorous moving and nothing else. Also painful if I bend forward at all since my arm swings out freely unless i hold it tighly to my body :/ The worst part about this is how I feel for customers. I really really hate the thought of delays esp if the suit is for a convention. I know as a con gets closer the excitement increases to going to the con and possibly suiting for the first time and now its inevitable that there will be some delays. While Lacy will be working hard we both work on things we excel at and this will most deff hinder some work while im down and out for the next 4-6 weeks. Ill be doing my best to heal as quickly as possible but i can only help bone growth along so much. I'm so sorry i really honestly am :/

I think I may get a 2nd opinion on whether it should heal on its own or if surgery is needed. I just get sick at the thought of the bills that will come along with this. I know i will make it work as i always have but its just so unexpected. Payment plans are a bitch and it seems like they do so little and charge so much. Im just guessing 5-$8000. Fuck they just sent Adam a $1100 bill for 4 stitches wtf ! Shoot me :/

So in other news anyone want to purchase a hang glider ;) ?

My apologies for any poor punctuation or if i was to vague at all but left handed typing sucks !

I'll miss getting a chance to suit and play at megaplex this week which is right own the road and helping to celebrate 2 friends bdays but I guess it's all well and good since i'll be probably dissapointing a few folks with some delays.

Take care you guys.
Hell these are factory originals and all they deal in are tires and wheels. No oil changes or any bs they just do tires and wheels so when the guy said the machine doesn't touch the wheel I said ok lets do it. Every rim now has at least some sort of scuffing similar to this horrible one on the spoke around the edges and this one the guy that did the change said couldn't have happend there because the machine doesn't come close to the wheel. Are you kidding me I don't care what you think your machine does. I took the before photos 20 minutes before bringing the car in and fricken told them I was using them because we wanted to keep the wheels looking new. So they damn well knew there wasn't a problem before showing up. They did scribble down that a rim was bent slightly on the inside lip which I said is very possible because of a pothole incident months ago. They said it might or might not affect the balance and continued on. The car rides 100x smoother then before so that wasn't a issue but the scuffed to shit wheels are. So now some wheel repair place is suppose to be looking them over tomorrow and trying to take care of the problem. Glad I took some photos for proof :/ The uncropped ones make it clear that they are the same wheels and all on different sides of the car. I love slr. Even the dirt stains show up the same after the tire change so if it would be nearly impossible to argue my before photos aren't of the same wheels. Yay for detail boo for tire changing retards :(

Sunday was fun, scary, and full some new experiences :P

I started early but leaving the house around 7am to head out and setup my new/used circa 1988 Mark IV hang glider (I was only 7 when the first owner flew it :P ). Then I proceeded to get out the Falcon 195 training glider and put a flight on her no to much later. I nailed my landing within about 20ft of a orange cone I was trying to land on then gave the training glider up for another newer student who was suppose to solo soon. I thought my instructor was going to at least fly my new glider and make sure it didn't have any odd quirks or anything in flight but he pretty much just told me to gear up and go for it (must value his life :P ?). With the help of some friends at the site I was able to borrow another harness and aerotow release and got the glider setup on my dolly (my first dolly launch ever too) and we got the glider out to the flight line. All strapped in and on the cart we went over cart launches, emergency situations, landing styles without the big bulky gear, and just some confidence building shit then we decided to go for it. I was both pretty excited and scared a bit but mostly focused on trying not to screw up :P The tow on the ground went well though I let go of the cart a little early with my wing starting to dip a bit but then I popped up into the sky and straitened things out and tried to quickly get a feel for the bar pressure and just how this new/old kite handled. Needless to say I got her up and she brought me back down to earth safely from about 3000ft agl. I did 2 more subsequent flights after which both went well then packed it back up with lacy 's help though we did end up getting pissed on by the lovely Florida sky :P Overall I'm happy with it so far. I still need to transition to landing on my feet and have alot to learn and I wont feel as bad if I give this bird a little bit of a beating vs something new and very pricey.

So yeah did quite a few new things in just a few flights and I'm here to share a few more photos thanks to lacy 's camera skillz.

All setup.

On tow. Coming in at the proper angle anyhow ;p

So yeah thats about it. Not sure when I'll get another chance to fly with all the crazy work going on around here for AC. I did finally get signed off on for my Hang 2 rating so I can do this without a instructor in sight now hehe. Don't know if thats a good or bad thing :P Now I just need to get some more friends interested in the sport :)

Back to work now. Have 3 suits we should be shooting photos of today and tomorrow :)
